Central Office Building Addition Euless, TX

Cost: $5.0 million

Size: 1,280 square feet

Project Details

This project entailed a one-story building addition constructed to house a new emergency power generating engine and new main electrical service switchgear with a new electrical utility company transformer providing increased electrical service capacity. The BSA Design team designed for and provided a new underground fuel storage tank, fuel system piping and pumps and a reserve fuel tank located inside the new engine room to serve the new generator.

The building area available at the back of the existing building was limited by an existing fire lane easement and parking lot curb and was further restricted by adjacent existing building elements and site conditions that could not be altered. It was necessary that the building addition maximize and make highly efficient use of the allowable building area to accommodate both the new engine and the new electrical switchgear.
