Client:
City of Dallas

Project Summary

This project entailed an addition and alterations to the City of Dallas Kidd Springs Recreation Center. In addition to renovating the existing interiors, a fitness facility and meeting room were added.

This project had an initial budget of $1.7M, but due to efficient designing by BSA Design Group the construction bids came in well under the budgeted amount. Because of this, the Owner was able to request that BSA Design Group revise the scope of the documents to include renovating the existing facility as well.

Even with the additional scope the total construction cost was still under budget at $1.4M. The scope included a 2,450 s.f. addition (including a fitness room, meeting room and storage room) and renovation of a 12,850 s.f. existing one story facility including refinishing the gym flooring and installing new flooring, lay-in ceiling, lighting and paint in other areas as well as a new control booth and manager’s office.
