Central Plant Upgrade Dallas, Texas

Project Summary

BSA Design Group and our team of consultants completed a multi-year, multi-phase comprehensive upgrade of the main utility plant serving a company’s headquarters plaza. This included a network critical data center facility and corporate offices.

The project scope entailed the replacement of four older existing 1,500 ton chillers with new 2,000 ton chillers and refurbishment of one newer existing 2,000 ton chiller and significantly modifying the existing condenser water and chilled water system piping.

Additionally, the team redesigned and reconfigured the electrical switchgear and electrical power distribution system to provide dual source power feeds to major mechanical equipment. Enhancement of the Building Automation System to include additional monitoring and controls points and dual hard-wired and computer network communications was also included in the project scope.

And finally, BSA Design Group renovated the Central Plant Command Center with new workstations, new computers and new network connectivity.
